[Reference]: E.O. details & specs

The E.O. was formerly classified as a "Demo".

• INSTALLATION: Basic & Detailed Instructions

Cursory Explanation: To install the Beyond the Red Line Experimental Output, simply run the BtRLDemoInstaller that you downloaded. Follow the steps, and select the folder you want to install to. At the end of the installation, there will be important post-installation notes that need to be followed. If you don't follow these instructions, it is unlikely that the Beyond the Red Line Experimental Output will work. Still having issues?

Please review the following steps:

Step 1: Download the release and install.

Step 2: Download and run the autopatcher. --- You will need Windows AND/OR Java 1.5+. So for you Mac and Linux people, before you read any further, make sure that you've got Java version 1.5 or greater. The updater IS included in the release install but is already out of date so you'll need to get the latest version of it. Please note that if you download the Windows version, you'll need to unpack all the files, not just the .exe. You'll want to replace the updater currently in your Demo folder.)

Run the updater and hit Next, then select your Demo folder using the prompt and hit Next again. The next page has two options on it. Make sure to leave the first one unchecked, and do what you want with the second one. On the next page, you get to select what you want to download. Make sure to select the first one, as well as the box for whatever OS you're using. Make sure that the boxes for the other OS's are unchecked. Then, hit Next. It will begin downloading the patch. Once it finishes, hit Next, and read the text on the next page. Once you've read it, hit exit, and you're almost ready to play!

Step 3: (For Windows-Only) Run the launcher. --- Windows users should run the RunMeFirst file unless they know they already have OpenAL 1.1 installed on their machines. Once that has installed itself run the BeyondTheRedLine.exe file.

Click on the Video tab and ensure you are running in 1024x768 - 32 Bit or above. You can then click run to start the game or change the options for your Joystick, etc from here. Do not however set the OpenAL sound device to anything other than Generic Software.
